Description
The Molecular Biosciences Department invites you to attend Dr. Adrian Keatinge-Clay's Promotion Seminar.
Dr. Adrian Keatinge-Clay is an Associate Professor at The University of Texas at Austin. His lab researches a diverse class of molecules called polyketides. These complex molecules are synthesized by modular polyketide synthases (PKSs) - enormous enzymes that are directly analogous to assembly lines. They seek to understand this chemical machinery and engineer it to produce new molecules and new medicines. He is hosted by Dr. Ken Johnson.
Dr. Keatinge-Clay's seminar, "Engineering Polyketide Synthases Using the Correct Module Boundary" will be held on Thursday, August 15 at 12:00 PM in NHB 1.720 with a pizza reception to follow at 1:00 PM.
