Description
The Molecular Biosciences Department welcomes Dr. Bjoern Schwer for the 2023 Fall Seminar Series.
Dr. Schwer is the Suzanne Marie Haderle and Robert Vincent Haderle Endowed Chair, UCSF. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery, UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences, a core faculty member of the Eli and Edythe Broad Center of Regeneration Medicine and Stem Cell Research, member of the Kavli Institute for Fundamental Neuroscience, Principal Investigator at the UCSF Brain Tumor Center, and Associate Member of the Programs in Neurologic Oncology and Cancer Genetics, UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center. He is also a Bakar Aging Research Institute (BARI) Investigator. Dr. Schwer is hosted by Dr. Jaime Lopez.
Dr. Schwer's seminar, "Neuronal DNA Repair and Aging" will be held on Wednesday, November 1 at 12:00 PM in NHB 1.720 with a pizza reception to follow at 1:00 PM.
