We detect a fraction of the stimuli around us. Some animals sense stimuli that we cannot: bats use ultrasonic sound, some fish “talk” with electricity, some insects sense the Earth’s magnetic field to navigate. We will discuss the surprising evolution of color vision in our pets and in us, and learn about unique humans who have super-normal color vision.
